Serratia has a variety of benefits; and has been found to successfully aid in normal scar tissue, normal blood clotting and allows for more fluid and natural blood flow throughout the body.
Serrétia is the world's strongest Serrapeptase with a minimum activity of 250,000 SPU's per dose.
Originally discovered in the intestine of silkworms, the proteolytic enzyme Serrapeptase is harnessed by Arthur Andrew Medical through the isolation of the micro-organism, Serratia E-15.
Serrapeptase’s inherent ability to digest dead tissue enables the enzyme to successfully aid in supporting normal scar tissue, normal blood clotting, and allows for more fluid and natural blood flow throughout the body.*
Serrétia has a variety of different benefits that may help with the following:
- Sport injuries*
- Promote healthy sinus activity*
- Promote free joint mobility*
- Muscle tears and pulls*
- Surgical recovery*
- Normal fluid retention such as swelling*
Serrétia’s Use for Sports Injuries
NSAIDs do an effective job of masking pain and inflammation of an injury. However merely masking the aforementioned symptoms, may prolong recovery.* The use of systemic enzymes such as Serrétia, may provide an additional choice for supporting normal recovery.* Serrétia works by digesting any dead tissue that may accumulate as a result of an injury, which then allows normal fluid retention to take place, thereby aiding in a normal inflammatory response, while assisting one’s ability to heal.*
Studies on Sport Injuries:
In Europe the overall use of systemic enzymes has been far more widespread than in the United States.
In Germany in particular, systemic enzymes have been actively used for decades and are even used by the German National Hockey to support physical health.*
A German doctor, Dr. M. W. Kleine and his team at the Sports Medicine Investigation Center in Grumwald, Germany, decided to look at 100 athletes in order to determine the ‘effectiveness of proteolytic enzymes’. Dr. Kleine took each subject and removed two cubic cm of blood from their anticubital vein. By reinserting the blood under the skin on each subject’s right forearm, Dr. Kleine and his team were able to reproduce a hematoma (blood clot). Fifty (50) of the subjects were then given placebo pills, while the other Fifty (50) subjects were given proteolytic enzymes; each subject taking one pill three times a day.
The results speak for themselves: 35 or 70% of the fifty (50) subjects that had been treated with enzymes reported considerably less discomfort, normal inflammation, a shorter lasting amount of discomfort on pressure and had the hematoma disappear in a shorter amount of time than their placebo counterparts.*
Preventative Uses for Serrétia:
Serrétia can also be successfully used in order to support normal injury recovery times.
In another German study researchers set out to discover how well serrapeptase could assuage the discomfort of subjects who have undergone surgery.*
The German study involved sixty-six (66) subjects that had undergone surgery in order to treat the rupture of the knee ligament, which is often suffered by athletes and causes substantial discomfort and inflammation.
The subjects were split into two groups; one of which took serrapeptase, while the other was given a placebo.
Three days following the surgery, the subjects that were given serrapeptase were found to have a 50% reduction of inflammation and experienced less discomfort compared to their placebo counterparts.*
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Serrétia?
Serrétia is comprised of 99.99% pure Serratiopeptidase, more commonly known as Serrapeptase. Serrapeptase is a proteolytic enzyme originally discovered in the intestine of silkworms.
It is produced by Arthur Andrew Medical through the isolation of the micro-organism Serratia E-15.
In Japan, Serrapeptase is commonly prescribed as a drug, but here in the US we can experience serrapeptase and all of its wonderful benefits without a prescription.*
How Does Serrétia Work?
Taken on an empty stomach, Serrapeptase, a fibrinolytic (fibrin digesting) enzyme, enters the bloodstream via the small intestine. Serrapeptase supports normal fibrin production within the body.
Its inherent ability to digest waste particles enables the enzyme to support normal recovery times and support healthy circulation.*
Why Should I Take Serrétia?
Serrapeptase has a variety of benefits; and has been found to successfully aid in normal scar tissue, normal blood clotting and allows for more fluid and natural blood flow throughout the body.* Serrétia may help to improve recovery after sports injuries or surgery, muscle tears and pulls; sinus activity, joint mobility and fluid retention. Like other proteolytic enzymes, Serrapeptase serves as a healthy addition to conventional medicines.*
Can I Take Too Much Serrapeptase?
Although Serrétia contains highly potent Serrapeptase, it can safely be incorporated into your supplement regimen.* There have been no indications that one can over-dose from the use of systemic enzymes such as Serrapeptase.* However, it is important to follow dosaging instructions unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider.*
Is Serrétia Enteric Coated?
Enteric coatings are designed to protect enzymes and other supplements from stomach acid. Plastic-like chemicals known as phthalates are often used in this coating process. Phthalates are actually banned in children's toys in Europe and Mexico, so why would we ever include these in our formulas?
Arthur Andrew Medical has instead developed an all-natural, chemical-free Acid Armor capsule. These capsules are composed of an extra-thick layer of cellulose (vegetable capsules) with a micro-threaded locking mechanism to prevent leaking. Acid Armor capsules have been designed to delay the release of the capsule's contents for up to an hour without the use of potentially harmful chemicals.*
When is the best time to take Serrétia?
For best results, take the product at least one hour prior to eating and/or two hours after a meal.
Can I take Serrétia with other supplements?
Serrétia can be used safely with other dietary supplements.
In fact, it is recommended that it should be taken in conjunction with Neprinol or Syntol for additional proteolytic and fibrinolytic support.
How long does it take for Serrétia to work?
Although every person is different, some have reported feeling the effects of systemic enzymes in as little as 45 minutes.
For therapeutic regimens, the progression may be slow for some and quicker for others. Serrapeptase has been clinically shown to thin mucosal secretions and limit pain due to injury. These effects are typically noticed within a very short time frame, though the other benefits of taking Serrétia on a regular basis are boundless and will progress with time.
